Camp Peggy Lake Residential Camp

YMCA Camp Peggy Lake is surrounded by 320 acres of rustic wilderness located about 100 miles north of Anchorage on the Parks Highway.  The camp is a wonderful setting for campers to enjoy water activities, archer, hiking trails, forests, marshlands, wildlife, outdoor cooking, campfires and the beauty of Alaska’s magnificent environment.  Campers engage in activities designed to develop the four YMCA Character Values of Caring, Honesty, Responsibility and Respect.  The goal of our camp is to help campers develop an appreciation for our natural environment, friendships, develop self-esteem and a strong sense of community.

For over 50 years the YMCA of Alaska has hosted camps and activities at YMCA Camp Peggy Lake.  In 2022 that service continues as YMCA Camp Peggy Lake will host campers from our day camp programs in Wasilla and Anchorage.  YMCA camps are a great place for your child to develop new friendships, participate in awesome field trips and now experience a rustic wilderness experience at Camp Peggy Lake!
